 ADF SUMMER DANCE CAMP

Monday, June 23 – Friday, June 27, 9:00-3:00pmPrice: $325/student, $50 additional fee for early drop-off (8am) and late pick-up (5pm)
Children ages 8-12 are invited to join ADF this summer for a week-long summer dance camp, held in a welcoming and non-competitive environment. Students will participate in a variety of classes taught by faculty who are experts in their field, attend a performance by the internationally renowned Pilobolus Dance Theater, and get an exclusive backstage tour and photo with the company! 
Classes include: Creative Movement, Composition, Modern, Hip Hop, and Performance Technique. Taught by: Gaspard Louis, Kat Folckomer, Ronald West, and Rosie Herrera. Students must bring their own sack lunch.
Please note: There is no audition required to participate in ADF’s Summer Dance Camp. You may register online at any time. Read the information below for information on tuition scholarships.

Scholarships are offered to promising students who demonstrate a high level creative ability or potential, as well as financial need. To be considered for a scholarship, you must attend the scholarship audition on Saturday, April 5th, 2:00-3:30pm.
Scholarship Audition ProcessThe scholarship audition will take place on Saturday, April 5th, 2:00-3:00pm at ADF’s Studios.
  1. Before the audition: Arrive early! Check-in will begin 20 minutes before the audition. At check in, parents will need to sign a waiver (only if student is brand-new to ADF’s Studios) and students will obtain an audition number.
  2. During the audition: The scholarship audition will consist of one 30-minute Hip Hop class taught by Ron West, and one 30-minute Creative Movement class taught by Kat Folckomer. Both classes will include a short warm-up and phrase work danced in small groups. Gaspard Louis will over see the audition.
  3. After the audition: Following the two 30-minute classes, there will be an information session about ADF’s Studios and the Summer Dance Camp where students and parents can ask questions and get more details about our programs.

  1. To sign up your child for the scholarship audition in advance, please contact Mollie O’Reilly, Studio Manager, at 919-684-6402 or studios@americandancefestival.org.
  2. If you would like to establish financial need, please submit a copy of your 2013 Tax Form 1040 (first page only and black-out SSN) to Mollie O’Reilly by email or fax (919-684-5459).

This program invites 10- to 13-year-olds to look at selected works in the Ackland’s galleries and identify techniques that the artists used to make them. Gallery teachers demonstrate and teach participants technical skills, which they can then apply to their own artistic creations. A mix of drawing from works on display and creating one’s own original works is offered in each session. Each Drawing for Tweens session runs from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on the second Saturday of the month. Materials are provided. Free to members | $5 per child for non-members. As space is limited, please RSVP using the form below.

Lil Zen Yogis is part of ReCharge Pilates and Barre and conveniently holds adult fitness classes during kids' yoga sessions.  We are conveniently located on the historically charming Main Street in Carrboro, directly across from Weaver Street Market.  Our Main Street location puts is steps away from of all the excitement UNC has to offer as well as the historic charms and upscale eateries of the West End.

Looking for a camp for your year-round students? TRC Track-Out Camp combines adventure education, and experiential learning in our updated full-day program. Our campers enjoy mornings of climbing, games, and instruction, including basic climbing safety. Kids 12+ learn to belay. Afternoons include a related educational segment ‘Beyond the Climb’. Camp themes rotate throughout the school year.
Adventure Camp Series
TRC is looking forward to a new year of Track Out camps starting this fall. Themes for our Adventure Camp Series will rotate each quarter. In addition, weekly curriculum changes will keep multi-week campers engaged. Each camper will receive an Adventure Passport in which to track visits and accomplishments.
Adventure Travel Camp: Explore a world of adventure! Campers learn about different continents, cultures, and foods, play traditional games from all over, and discuss others’ world travel narratives.
Adventure Wildlife Camp: Take a walk on the wild side of our planet! Campers learn about the world’s most exotic plants and animals, as well as their natural habitats.
Adventure Sports Camp: Campers learn to experience sports in a new way. We cover adventure beyond climbing such as mountain biking, water sports, snow sports, and adventure racing.
My Adventure Camp: Campers learn to hone and develop the skills necessary for a lifetime of adventure. The week will focus on fitness, nutrition, survival, and challenge courses.
Choose the Right Location!
Both TRC Morrisville and TRC North Raleigh host track-out, summer, and holiday camps. Be sure to choose the location nearest you. Camps dates below are open at both locations unless otherwise noted.

Siblings receive a $25 discount, and TRC members an additional $25.
